The teams will play in Buffalo on Friday night and in Rochester on Saturday afternoon.
ROCHESTER, N.Y. — It will be March Mayhem for the Rochester Knighthawks and Buffalo Bandits as the East Division rivals meet three times in three weeks this month.
The regular-season series between the Knighthawks and Bandits kicks off with a March 3 showdown at KeyBank Center in Buffalo at 7 p.m. The following afternoon, Rochester hosts Buffalo at 1 p.m. at Connors & Ferris Field at the Blue Cross Arena.
The teams will meet one final time on Saturday, March 25 in Rochester on Military Appreciation Night. That game both teams will wear military-themed jerseys to raise money for their respective Veterans Outreach Centers.

Scouting the Knighthawks: Rochester enters the weekend tied for fourth place in the East Division with a 3-6 record. The Knighthawks trail third-place Buffalo (3-5) by just one-half game. On Saturday, Rochester used a dominating second half to defeat the Vancouver Stealth at the Langley Events Centre. Brad Gillies was the hero, scoring a career-high two goals – which included the game-winner – in a 12-8 victory. Rochester was led offensively by a three-goal, one-assist performance from Josh Currier. Kyle Jackson and Joe Resetarits chipped in two-goal efforts as Rochester scored seven of the game’s last eight goals. Currier and Resetarits extended their team-leading point streaks to nine games.
Kegs and Eggs: On Saturday, March 4, fans can start their pregame routines off a bit earlier as the Knighthawks host Buffalo at 1:00 p.m. Fans who purchase the Kegs and Eggs package will receive a breakfast sandwich, two drink tickets and a 200 upper-end ticket for $20. Season ticket holders can purchase the package for $15. The pregame event begins at 10:00 a.m. in the upper atrium bar area for fans who have purchased the package.
History of the Rivalry: Located just 60 miles apart down I-90, Buffalo is Rochester’s closest and oldest rival. The teams have met 59 times during the regular season with the Knighthawks owning a 34-25 record. In the postseason, Rochester holds an 8-4 advantage.

Vinc also needs to play in one more game to move into a tie for ninth place on the team’s all-time games played list with Hall of Famer Jeremy Hollenbeck. Ian Llord needs to play in one more game to reach 150 in his career.
Scouting the Bandits: Buffalo knocked off the Toronto Rock 15-12 Saturday night at KeyBank Center. With the win and a New England loss, the Bandits climbed from fifth place up to third in the East Division standings. Fairport native Blaze Riorden continues to play impressive ball in his rookie season. The forward had a career-high five points in the victory over the Rock to give him nine points (4+5) in three games. After starting the season 1-5, Buffalo has won its last two games.
Next Game: Following this weekend’s games, the Knighthawks are back in action on Friday, March 17 to battle the New England Black Wolves at 7:30 p.m. at Mohegan Sun Arena. The game is the third of four contests between the two teams this season. The season series is tied at one win apiece.
