ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The Rochester Knighthawks will honor our men and women in uniform on Military Appreciation Night on Saturday, Feb. 3, when they host the Buffalo Bandits at 7:30 pm. at Connors & Ferris Field at the Blue Cross Arena. The game is brought to you by Veterans Outreach Center (VOC), Isaac Heating & Air Conditioning, RECON Rings, and Tango Charlie Apparel.
Free tickets for Military: In appreciation of our armed forces, all military members, veterans, and reservists are able to receive one complimentary ticket to the game.
Auction Details: For the second straight season, the Knighthawks and Bandits players will wear special military-themed jerseys, which will be auctioned off with the net proceeds going to Veterans Outreach Center (VOC). Auction opens Wednesday, Jan. 31 at noon and ends Saturday, Feb. 3 at 9 pm. To place a bid, go to www.knighthawks.com/auction. The Knighthawks will also donate a portion of the proceeds from the sale of special military-themed T-shirts and sweatshirts to VOC.

Scouting the Knighthawks: On Saturday, Rochester will play Buffalo in the second of four meetings this season. In the first contest, the Knighthawks defeated the Bandits 21-11 on Dec. 23. Rochester was led that night by a nine-point effort from Dan Dawson (3+6) and an 8-point outing by Joe Resetarits (3+5). Resetarits currently has a team-high 29 points, while Dawson is third with 23. Scott Campbell continues to lead all NLL defensemen with 11 points on 3 goals and 8 assists. Goalie Matt Vinc owns a league-leading .800 save percentage and is second with a 10.73 goals-against average. Rookie Jake Withers leads the NLL with a .657 faceoff winning percentage. Graeme Hossack is tied for fourth with 11 caused turnovers this season.

Scouting the Bandits: Buffalo (3-3) enters the game tied for third place in the East Division. The Bandits are coming off an impressive come-from-behind 16-15 victory over the Saskatchewan Rush on Jan. 19. The win was Buffalo’s second in its last three games. Dhane Smith leads the team with 36 points, which is sixth best in the NLL. Josh Byrne leads all NLL rookies with 19 points (6+13). Defenseman Steve Priolo is tied for second in the league with 13 caused turnovers.
Next Game: The Knighthawks will return to action the following weekend with two games in two nights. Rochester will open the two-game set with an 8 pm showdown against the Toronto Rock on Saturday, Feb. 10 at Connors & Ferris Field at the Blue Cross Arena.
