Several original Knighthawks will be at the BCA opening night.

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The Rochester Knighthawks announced the theme nights for their historic 25th Anniversary Season. The Knighthawks will open their silver season on Saturday, Dec. 8 when they play host to the New England Black Wolves at 8 pm at Connors & Ferris Field at the Blue Cross Arena.

On Opening Night, the organization will bring back the members of the 1995 team. Fans will have the opportunity to meet original Knighthawks like Mike Benedict, Chris Driscoll, Tom Emmick, Paul Gait, Anthony Gray, Tom Hawke, Jeremy Hollenbeck, Duane Jacobs, Brian Lemon, Rex Lyons, Bill Meagher, Randy Mearns, Tim Soudan, and Regy Thorpe. Rochester hosts the New England Black Wolves at 8:00 p.m.

On Saturday, Dec. 29, the Knighthawks will honor their 25th Anniversary Team, presented by iHeartMedia. The Top 20 players in franchise history will be introduced before the showdown against the Philadelphia Wings. Fans should arrive early to enjoy the Knighthawks annual Kids Day, which features inflatables, games, airbrush tattoos, music and more. Doors open at 4:00 p.m. and kids 12 and under are free. Kids’ Day is brought to you by Adventures in Climbing, Altitude Trampoline Park, Bill Gray’s, Zweigle’s, and Villa of Hope.

Rochester will conclude its January schedule with one of the biggest nights of the season. The Knighthawks, in conjunction with Veterans Outreach Center (VOC) and Isaac Heating & Air Conditioning, will hold their fifth annual Military Appreciation Night on Saturday, Jan. 26.

For the third straight season, the Knighthawks and Buffalo Bandits players will wear special military-themed jerseys, which will be auctioned off with the net proceeds going to Veterans Outreach Center. The Knighthawks will also donate a portion of the monies from the sale of military-themed merchandise to VOC. All military members, veterans, and reservists can receive one complimentary ticket at the Blue Cross Arena Office with a Military ID.

On Saturday, Feb. 2, the Knighthawks will honor the roots of the game on Origins of Lacrosse Night. The festivities will include Native American music, Fancy Dancers, artisans, and special guests. The game against the Georgia Swarm is brought to you by Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino.

Rochester will host its oldest rival, the Buffalo Bandits, on Friday, Feb. 22, as it throws it back to the first decade of Knighthawks lacrosse on Party Like it’s 1995 Night. The fans can celebrate the freshest decade of all as they enjoy the musical hits from the ‘90s and other special themed promotions.

The party will continue in March with two of the hottest theme nights of the season. On Friday, March 15, the Knighthawks will host Georgia on Irish Night. The game includes limited-edition Irish T-shirts, drink specials, live Irish music, and special guests. It will be another party atmosphere at Connors & Ferris Field on Saturday, March 23, as the Knighthawks hold their fourth annual Knight of Beer. The event, brought to you by The Distillery, features a variety of beers from local breweries from 3:00 to 5:30 pm. Purchase a pass for the Knight of Beer and receive tasting tickets and a ticket to the game. Ticket packages start at just $40.

April begins with the second annual Cradle for the Cure game. Join us in our battle against cancer and help raise funds and awareness for cancer-related charities. The highlight of the Saturday, April 6 contest against the Toronto Rock is the jersey auction, which will benefit CURE Childhood Cancer Association. The regular season will conclude with a matchup against the Vancouver Warriors on Saturday, April 20. On Fan Appreciation Night, fans can win merchandise and prizes throughout the evening.
