Forward Dan Linter and goalie Steve Fryer sign with Rochester.

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Rochester Knighthawks General Manager and Vice President of Lacrosse Operations Dan Carey announced today that the team has signed forward Dan Lintner and goaltender Steve Fryer to contracts for the 2019-20 season. Lintner’s contract also runs through the 2020-21 campaign. Both transactions are pending league approval.

Lintner joins the Knighthawks after posting career-highs in all offensive categories last season, including goals (20), assists (17) and points (37) while appearing in all 18 games for the Toronto Rock. In addition, he recorded 60 loose balls and finished the season with 114 shots.

Originally the eighth overall pick of the New England Black Wolves in 2015, the 5-foot-9, 185-pound forward has appeared in 53 career games, all with Toronto, scoring 62 goals and 45 assists for 107 points.

Prior to turning pro, Lintner, a 26-year-old native of Ajax, ONT., played 4 years at nearby Cornell University. During his time with the Big Red, he was a 2-time Honorable Mention All-Ivy League selection (2014-15) and was named to the Second Team All-Ivy League in 2014.

Fryer comes to Rochester after spending the past two seasons with the Colorado Mammoth, posting an overall 2-2 record with a 7.71 goals-against average and a .853 save percentage.

Originally a fourth-round (28th overall) of the Philadelphia Wings in 2011, the 6-foot-1, 190-pound goaltender has dressed in 44 games, making 177 saves while boasting a 2-2 record.
