Phil Caputo completed his third season with the Rock last year.
ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Rochester Knighthawks General Manager and Vice President of Lacrosse Operations Dan Carey announced today that the team has acquired forward Phil Caputo from the Toronto Rock in exchange for Rochester’s second-round selection in the 2020 National Lacrosse League Draft. The transaction is pending league approval.
Caputo recently completed his third season with Toronto in 2018-19, appearing in two games and recording 22 penalty minutes.
Originally a third-round selection (28th overall) of the New England Black Wolves in the 2015 NLL Entry Draft, the Brampton, ONT., native has produced 16 points (11+5) in 21 career NLL games with Toronto and New England.
Prior to turning pro, Caputo played 6 seasons with the Brampton Excelsiors (MSL), where he registered 218 points on 111 goals and 107 assists over 80 career games. The 6-foot-3, 200-pound forward also appeared in 30 postseason contests with the Excelsiors, notching 74 points (26+48).
