The man accused of murdering his ex-girlfriend in Sodus last November pleaded guilty to the crime in Wayne County Court this morning.
The Wayne County District Attorney says 19-year-old David Knight-Hollis will serve 20-years-to-life in prison for stabbing 17-year-old Alyssa Taft to death after she refused to resume their relationship. Knight-Hollis was charged with second degree murder.
Taft was found dead after she went to Knight-Hollis’ home. He had promised to pay back money he owed her. Authorities say instead, he tried to rekindle their relationship and stabbed her to death when she refused. He had no comment in court.
