Fire broke out in the kitchen of a house on Cummings Street in Rochester Monday evening. Firefighters arrived to find smoke coming from the two and a half story house. Three children and an adult made it safely out of the house before firefighters got there.
Firefighters limited damage to the kitchen, with minimal damage to the rest of the house. One person was checked out by paramedics but did not need treatment. The Red Cross is assisting the family.
