Customers of First Niagara Bank will find their accounts and online banking converting to KeyBank beginning tomorrow. The changeover should take through the weekend and be completed by Tuesday, October 11th.
KeyBank has promised a seamless transition. Information is online at meetkeybank.com and KeyBank’s call center is at 1-800-421-0004.
First Niagara branches will close Friday at 3:00. Those becoming KeyBanks will reopen Tuesday morning. Customers can get cash from either First Niagara or KeyBank ATMs through the conversion, but won’t be able to make deposits until Tuesday. Debit and credit cards will work as usual and won’t be replaced until they expire. Existing checks will still be good.
Online bill pay for First Niagara customers won’t be available after midnight. KeyBank online bill pay will be available starting Tuesday through the KeyBank website.
