The Monroe County District Attorney’s Office says 30-year-old Andrea Lipton has been convicted by a jury of second degree manslaughter in the death of her three-year-old son, Kei’Mere Marshall.
Lipton was charged with failing to do enough to save her son’s life when she found him unresponsive after returning home from work on July 11, 2020. Her boyfriend, Anthony Love, had been babysitting. Police say he beat the child, leaving him with injuries comparable to being hit by a car. Both Love and Lipton were arrested after Kei’Mere died of his injuries. Love was convicted of manslaughterand sentenced to 25 years in prison.
Lipton will be sentenced on May 19 in front of Judge Victoria Argento.
