The New York Unified Court System relieved State Supreme Court Justice Matthew Rosenbaum of his duties over the weekend. This came after the Office of Court Administration learned of allegations regarding the judge’s conduct.
Those allegations have not been released.
The OCA’s Inspector General began an investigation and the State Commission on Judicial Conduct was notified. That investigation could be referred to the Monroe County District Attorney’s Office.
In the meantime, Judge Rosenbaum has been relieved of his duties as Supervising Judge of the 7th District Civil Courts and barred from non-public areas of the courthouse.
