Judge Leticia Astacio’s appeal seeking to overturn her original DWI conviction has been denied by Judge Stephen Aronson.
The judge also threw out Astacio’s claim that she shouldn’t have to pay for an alcohol-monitoring ankle bracelet, and that she wasn’t given adequate notice of a court-ordered alcohol test. That’s the one she missed while she was in Thailand.
This is a different case than the one Judge Astacio brought to court last week. In that one, she’s challenging the legality of her probation as part of her sentence on the DWI conviction. The judge who heard those arguments hasn’t ruled yet.
