The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office says a Chili man was arrested this morning after a two-car crash on South Lima Road in Livonia.
The responding deputy found 26-year-old Joshua Hoffman had run off the road and slammed into a parked car. He suspected Hoffman was under the influence, and found both a bag of cocaine and a bag of heroin in the car.
Hoffman was arrested for operating a vehicle while under the influence of a narcotic, a depressant and marijuana. He was charged with a felony because of a previous DWI conviction within the past ten years.
While all this was going on, investigators learned that relatives of Hoffman’s had reported their car stolen and determined that Hoffman had taken it without permission before crashing it.
They also charged him with grand larceny.
