The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office says a man who robbed The Source jewelry store at Pittsford Plaza last week had previously been arrested for driving a stolen car in Rochester that same day.

Zeaquan Walker, 20, was released on an appearance ticket. He then drove another stolen car to Pittsford, where he asked to see jewelry, flashed a gun at an employee and drove off with the merchandise. The car was recovered empty in Greece. Deputies were able to track Walker down and arrest him for robbery and grand larceny.

Police say Walker was a suspect in a string of thefts, with seven additional open felony cases against him in Monroe County. He was out of jail without bail at the time of the crimes.

Walker is now being held on $15,000 bail.
