There was another bomb threat Sunday morning to the Jewish Community Center in Brighton.
Brighton Police say multiple bomb threats were emailed to the JCC, as well as other Jewish Community Centers around the country at about 10:00 a.m. They and the FBI are continuing their investigation, and Governor Cuomo has ordered a state investigation as well, calling the threat “a despicable and cowardly act.”
The building, which had been serving as a warming center for those without power, was evacuated. It was able to reopen at 3:00 p.m.
This is the second bomb threat against the Wolk JCC this month. A threat forced police to evacuate and sweep the building with dogs on March 7th.
