Three of the suspects in the Islamberg attempted bombing case made their first court appearance on terrorism charges Thursday, and heard prosecutors ask for $1 million bail each.
Eighteen-year-old Andrew Crysel of Greece who had been released on $50,000 bail had his bail increased to $250,000, and was taken back into custody. Twenty-year-old Brian Colaneri and 19-year-old Vincent Vetromile remain held without bail pending another hearing next week.
Members of the Islamberg shared the crowded courtroom with family members of the suspects. Greece Police arrested them and 16-year-old Nicholas Pheilshifter with accumulating homemade explosives and firearms for a planned attack on the Delaware County community.
Pheilshifter is being held on $1 million bail, but his case is being handled in youth criminal court because of he’s 16. He faces a hearing next week.
