Irondequoit Police have released new information on the death of a woman whose body was found a month ago in a house on Washington Street.
The department says they were called to check on the woman’s welfare and found a deceased person inside the home. Because of hoarding and sanitary conditions, they needed special equipment to remove the body.
The Monroe County Medical Examiner’s report was inconclusive on cause of death, so the remains are being sent to a forensic anthropologist for further testing.
The investigation is continuing.
