An Irondequoit Town Board member says the Supervisor of the town broke her wrist when he slammed a door on her during a contentious board meeting on September 21.
Councilwoman Patrina Freeman leveled the charge against Supervisor Rory Fitzpatrick during a news conference on Tuesday, saying Fitzpatrick became combative with her during the meeting. She says he slammed the door on her, causing her to break her wrist, and she says she’s being treated unfairly since then.
Fitzpatrick denies the allegation, which he says was the subject of a police investigation. After interviewing witnesses and video recordings, the Irondequoit Police Department concluded there was no evidence to support the claim.
That police report says the door is self-closing and they found no indication that Freeman had been injured.
