The Monroe County Medical Examiner’s Office has positively identified the victim of the drowning in Irondequoit Bay on Sunday, August 2, 2020 as Santo Baez, 49, of Rochester. Baez was with several other people who went swimming off a pontoon boat in the bay on Sunday afternoon. He went under and failed to surface. Divers found his body later that evening.
