Investigators returned to the Devil’s Bathtub at Mendon Ponds Park today, searching for more evidence in the Craig Rideout murder case. A spokesman confirmed SCUBA divers were in the pond today.
Rideout’s estranged wife and two of his sons have been charged with evidence tampering in the case, but nobody has been charged yet with causing his death.
Rideout’s body was found last month in Yates County, wrapped in a tarp and dumped in some woods off a rural road. Acid had been poured on his face in an effort to conceal his identity.
