Sheriff O’Flynn says they’re still waiting on forensic confirmation, but the investigation by both sheriff’s departments and the State Police all point to the same thing: the victim is 50-year-old Craig Rideout.

Rideout was last seen Tuesday night. Investigators swarmed over his apartment Wednesday. Thursday they were at Mendon Ponds Park in the pond called the “Devil’s Bathtub.”

Both sheriffs say  they found evidence there that connected to the Yates County crime scene and to Rideout’s estranged wife and two of his sons.

Sheriff O’Flynn says  Laura,  Alexander and Colin Rideout, have been arrested on charges of burglary and evidence tampering. The complaint filed against all three in court says they allegedly broke into Rideout’s apartment in order to conceal evidence of a homicide.

The investigators are asking the public’s help in finding Craig Rideout’s missing gray Honda Odyssey. The investigation continues and there may be more charges coming.
