A Rochester City School District student has been arrested on a charge of making a terroristic threat against East High School.
Because 21-year-old Abigail Hernandez is an illegal alien, she’s being held at the federal detention center in Batavia. She’ll be held there until a hearing is scheduled.
Rochester Deputy Mayor Cedric Alexander and Deputy Police Chief La’Ron Singletary said at a news conference that police were made aware of the threat on February 16th. City School District staff called the department that evening about a threat posted on East High’s Facebook page.
The threat read “I’m coming tomorrow morning and I’m going to shoot all of ya bitches.” It came from a fake social media account, and it took police until today to track down the account’s actual owner.
Officers searched the home where Hernandez lived and found a shotgun, but didn’t say if it was hers.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement says Hernandez is an illegal, who was in this country under DACA, the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program.
