A coach in the Honeoye Falls-Lima School District has been fired after New York State Police began an investigation to “inappropriate behavior” with a student.
According to the school district web site, Honeoye Falls-Lima officials learned a week ago Monday of concerns about the coach, who is not being identified by either the district or State Police. School Superintendent Gene Mancuso says an internal investigation was begun and both police and Child Protective Services were notified. The coach was immediately suspended and has since been fired.
The district says troopers have interviewed the coach and Honeyoe Falls-Lima is cooperating with their investigation.
State Police say the investigation involves the coach and a specific student. No charges have been filed so far.
