Hobart and William Smith Colleges in Geneva has a new president. Joyce P. Jacobsen was unanimously elected President of the colleges by the board of today.
Jacobsen is currently serving as provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs at Wesleyan University. She’s a scholar of economics, a teacher and an administrator with degrees from Harvard, the London School of Economics and Stanford University. She has more than three decades of experience in higher education.
She’s the first woman to serve as president of the colleges.
