Construction season is already in full swing, with dozens of projects underway in Monroe County for a total of $16 million in maintenance and rehab for the area highway system.
The governor’s office says that includes improving 17 bridges along Route 104 in Webster and repaving sections of I 490 from the Thruway in LeRoy to the Chili exit. More than $4 million is being spent to replace the badly rundown 490 bridge over Marsh Road in Pittsford. Nine other bridges around the county will get new joints and rehab work.
Most of this should be finished by the fall.
