Rochester police say they have conclusive evidence that last weekend’s fire on High Street was deliberately set. The fire that killed a mother and two of her children is now being investigated as an arson-homici
de case.
The fire broke out before dawn Saturday morning at 99 High Street. It killed Virginia Ortiz and her 6-year-old son, Willie Nelson, Jr. Her 3-year-old daughter, Ameeyah Nelson, died Tuesday at the hospital. Two other children survived.
Police are asking anyone with information to call 9-1-1 or Crimestoppers
