The operators of the Hickey Freeman operation in Rochester are making an $8 million investment to expand the business.

CEO Stephen Granovsky says it will mean new products will be made in Rochester, and there will be up to 80 new jobs.

The company plans to enter the contemporary custom clothing market, and start making dress shirts this summer in addition to the traditional men’s suit business.

Empire State Development is assisting the expansion with a $4 million loan that will be forgiven if the company makes good on its hiring commitment.
