The former East High student who threatened to shoot up the school in a pair of Facebook posts has been sentenced to three years probation, but faces deportation in a federal immigration hearing on Wednesday.

The judge said Abigail Hernandez was never capable of carrying out her threat and questioned her about her state of mind before passing sentence. Hernandez was given a positive evaluation in her probation report.

Hernandez admitted to making threats against East in February. She was originally charged with a felony, but pled guilty in June to a misdemeanor charge of falsely reporting an incident.
