A Henrietta woman has been charged after her two dogs died of heat stroke in her yard.
The Humane Society’s law enforcement department charged 41-year-old Jocelyn Evans with animal cruelty after confirming her Rottweiler and Great Dane died of the heat. She’s also charged with failure to provide adequate sustenance and shelter.
Investigators went to her home after receiving a complaint about dogs being left outside in extreme heat. They learned the dogs had died and began an investigation.
Evans has been ordered to appear in court on August 23rd.
The Humane Society at Lollypop Farm says dogs should be inside on hot days.
