The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office has charged a 21-year-old man with second degree murder for allegedly shooting his father to death on Friday evening.
Fabian Vazquez lived at the home on Parkerhouse Road in Henrietta where the shooting took place. He’s been charged with the death of 48-year-old Dezerick Brooks of Rochester.
Deputies are looking into previous calls to the home for domestic-related issues as part of their investigation. They say Vazquez admitted to shooting his father in the chest with a rifle. Four relatives were in the house at the time and were interviewed by deputies.
