The Monroe County District Attorney’s Office says the case of Sunday’s fatal crash in Henrietta will be sent to a grand jury, so a preliminary hearing on driver Jordin Campbell scheduled for Wednesday will be waived.
Campbell was behind the wheel of a car that missed a curve on Clay Road and went through a concrete noise barrier wall, ending up along I-390. Two passengers were ejected. One was killed and one remains in guarded condition at Strong Memorial Hospital. Campbell was also seriously injured.
The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office says it’s waiting on the results of his blood test and of a search of his car. Investigators suspect he’d been drinking and speeding.
