The Town of Henrietta is considering a six-month moratorium on developing any new multifamily housing projects.

If the town board approves the moratorium on multi-family housing applications, town officials plan to set up a committee to look at how to best deal with such developments going forward. Henrietta has been reviewing its long term land use plan and thought about rezoning 1,300 acres in the southwest quadrant of the town for commercial development. It was put on hold after public concern, and the town decided to first develop an agricultural and farmland protection plan
