As many as 2,800 new jobs are said to be on their way to the Rochester Tech Park in Gates.
The campus where Kodak once built copiers is now an industrial park marketed at high-tech businesses. Gates Supervisor Mark Assini says Maximus Healthcare is renovating space for a large-scale call center. He says with all the talk recently of job losses at Xerox and Sentry Safe, it’s uplifting news.
The company is supposed to move into its facilities in Building Five at the Tech Park by August 1st.
The company hasn’t yet made an announcement, but its web site says Maximus partners with the federal, state and local governments to provide public health insurance programs, including the Obamacare health exchanges.
