chester’s Harris Corporation has been awarded a $33 million Defense Department contract to supply spare parts for military radio systems.
Congresswoman Louise Slaughter says changes she helped push to eliminate no-bid military contracts allowed companies like Harris to compete and win such contracts. She says it’s good news for thousands of Harris employees in Rochester and also gives servicemen and women the best equipment made.
