A 35-year-old North Carolina man has pleaded guilty to vehicular homicide charges in a head-on crash that killed the death of Stephen Kneeland back in March.
The Monroe County District Attorney’s Office says James Jacobs was driving drunk on Ridge Road in Parma when he crossed over onto the wrong side of the highway. His car hit Kneeland’s car head-on, killing him instantly. Kneeland was driving in a separate car behind his family, and they were on their way home to Lockport after a swim meet.
Following the crash, police found a loaded gun under the seat of Jacobs’ wrecked car.
Jacobs pleaded guilty to Aggravated Vehicular Homicide and to Criminal Possession of a Weapon.
