The Monroe County District Attorney’s office says 23-year-old Amari Brown has pleaded guilty to a charge of second degree murder in the death of Monica Sherman last year.
Brown was accused of stabbing Sherman multiple times behind a business in the 400 block of Lyell Avenue in Rochester. She died soon after.
As a result of his guilty plea, Brown will serve 17-years-to-life in prison. He’ll be sentenced on June 29th.
