The man accused of killing Chili teenager Brittanee Drexel 13 years ago has pleaded guilty in a South Carolina courtroom, and will likely serve life in prison without parole.
Raymond Moody was brought into court Wednesday morning for his first appearance before a judge since he was arrested earlier this year. He pleaded guilty to charges of murder, rape and kidnapping for causing the 17-year-old’s death while she was on a spring break trip to Myrtle Beach in April of 2009.
Her remains were found in May after Moody confessed and led authorities to her body. The state’s recommendation was life without parole and Moody was sentenced accordingly.
