The Monroe County District Attorney says Walter Morse pleaded guilty to second degree manslaughter today in the death of ten-year-old J’Veion Grayson-Sutton. He also pleaded guilty to a charge of attempted second degree murder for threatening to kill J’Veion’s biological father, Michael Coles, as well as a charge of cocaine possession.
The young boy was killed a year ago when he ingested fentanyl at the apartment in Churchville that Walter Morse shared with his mother. Charges against the mother were eventually dismissed. Morse was then accused of trying to shoot Michael Coles on Borchard Street in Rochester to prevent him from testifying in the case.
DA Sandra Doorley Tweets that Morse will be sentenced on July 24th.
