Ground has been broken for a new $15.5 million Music Performance Center at Nazareth College in Pittsford.
The new performance space is being named for the late Rochester entrepreneurs Jane and Larry Glazer, and it’s being supported by the state with a $1 million Empire State Development grant.
ESD head Howard Zemsky says it will benefit the entire Finger Lakes region and is a fitting public-private partnership to honor the Glazer family. Jane Glazer was a Nazareth board member.
The addition to the Nazareth College Arts Center will be home to expanded community music program and a partnership with the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra.
