The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office is out with the March heroin overdose numbers; part of a 60-day progress report issued by the county’s new Heroin Task Force.
County-wide there were 12 fatal overdoses last month, and 73 non-fatal overdoses.
The latest numbers bring the totals for the first three months of the year to 42 fatal cases and 220 non-fatal.
The Task Force has conducted 13 raids since February 1st, making 20 arrests, and seizing more than four ounces of heroin and 2 ounces of cocaine.
