The Greece Town Board has adopted a 2017 budget that holds the town tax rate flat, so property owners should only see tax bills increase if their property value has also gone up.
The tax rate remains at just below $6.34 per $1000 of property value, so the owner of a house valued at $100,000 would pay about $634 in taxes. It’s the third year in a row for a flat tax rate.
The budget meets the state’s two percent tax cap and covers the opening of the new town police headquarters on Long Pond Road.
