The Greece Town Board has settled a claim by town employees over alleged sexual harassment and misconduct by former town Receiver of Taxes Rick Antelli.

A statement put out by the town this morning says Greece officials received credible complaints shortly before the Christmas Holiday from multiple female employees. They alleged that Antelli engaged in sexual harassment and created a hostile work environment.

The town began an investigation as required by law, bringing in employment relations attorney Karlee Bolanos, who worked with the town Personnel Director on the complaints. Bolanos told the Kimberly and Beck Show she met with the employees and other witnesses who were consistent,  and who corroborated the allegations.

The town then worked with those employees to reach settlements. Interviews were scheduled with Antelli, who did not show up for any of them. Rick Antelli said through a statement that he denies any wrongdoing during his time in office.

Supervisor Bill Reilich says in a statement released through his office that he was both saddened and upset to learn about the claims, and the town stands with and supports its employees on these matters. Reilich said no one should be subjected to a hostile work environment.

Antelli’s term as Receiver of Taxes ended December 31st. Prior to that he was a member of the Monroe County Legislature and  of the Greece Town Board.
