The Town of Greece will apply for a grant from the Skatepark Project to rebuild its skate park at Basil Marella Park off Latta Road.
Supervisor BIll Reilich says in a statement that the planned rebuild comes from the town’s inclusive playground development. The old skate park at Basil Marella needs updating and repairs, and its position and condition make it particularly fit for development as an inclusive, accessible playground. Those include flat, undisturbed land, accessible rest rooms nearby and plenty of parking with easy access.
The next round of grant funding opens in August, and the town is readying its application.
