Two Greece residents have been charged with animal cruelty after the death of a six-month-old puppy, found injured in a crate behind an apartment complex in Charlotte.
The Yorkshire Terrier mix was found on July 31st, and it had to be put down because of a series of injuries. Police traced the abandoned dog to 31-year-old Ashley Bullard and 31-year-old Leo Bullard. Both have been charged with overdriving, torturing and injuring animals. Ashley Bullard was also charged with abandoning a companion animal.
The Bullards are due to appear in court in September.
