Greece Supervisor Bill Reilich says the town is as ready as it can be for rising water levels on Lake Ontario.

The Greece Emergency Response Team met today to review preparations. On hand were town board members, heads of town departments, police and fire authorities. Supervisor Reilich says they went over the emergency preparedness process so everyone will be on the same page if a storm hits during this period of unusually high water. They also reviewed evacuation plans and scenarios if water should begin coming across shoreline properties.

Reilich says the water level on Lake Ontario right now is higher than it was during Hurricane Agnes 50 years ago and could go higher over the next month.
