Greece Police say two men wearing masks smashed their way through the front window of a Greece home Monday night and abducted two young children as their foster-mother tried to protect them.

Dimitri Cash Jr, 5, and three-year-old Shekeria Cash were forcibly taken from the home on English Road, according to Police Chief Drew Forsythe. The home houses several foster children.

Police say the mother heard the window smash and saw the suspects come in. She screamed and two of the seven children in the home came downstairs to check on her. All three were bound with duct tape by the intruders, who then took the Cash children from the home. The intruders stole the family’s van and fled, but abandoned it a short distance away at an apartment complex on Whitehall Drive. Police believe they moved to another vehicle there.

Police say this was a targeted abduction and their paramount goal is recovering the children.

Their father is 26-year-old Dimitri Cash, who was charged a year ago with abducting his son from the Autumn Lane Elementary School in Greece. Police are seeking to speak with him. They’re also working with U.S. Marshals to try and track the suspects and the children down.
