Greece Police are looking at a lot of questions with few answers after Wednesday’s police pursuit that ended on Stutson Street in Rochester. They say at this point, they’re not sure the incident reported to 911 that started the whole thing actually took place.
They’ve identified the driver of the car as Dontay McKnight, a 28-year-old Gates man. Police pulled him over on Vintage Lane after a woman called 911 and complained of two men pointing handguns at her. Police say that alleged menacing victim refuses to talk with them.
Although they’re not sure anyone was menaced, Dontay McKnight has been charged with fleeing from a police officer and second degree attempted assault. That’s because he sped off when officers tried to talk to him, and his car door clipped one of the officers. He’s also been charged with reckless driving and obstructing government administration.
