A Greece man says he just saw someone in need and took action. Pavel Fesyuk is being hailed for saving the life of a Rochester man who was choking on Averill Avenue Tuesday afternoon.

The 32-year-old works as an exterminator for Town and Country. He’s also been a contestant on NBC’s “American Ninja Warrior.” He pulled up behind a car at Averill and South Avenues when he saw a man leaning on the car and realized he was choking.

Fesyuk got out of his truck and did the Heimlich maneuver after slapping the man on the back didn’t work. It forced open his airway and saved the man’s life. The whole incident was caught by the dash cam on his company truck.
