Federal prosecutors say 57-year-old Salvatore Lippa of Greece has been sentenced to six months in prison for threatening members of Congress.
Lippa, who said he was upset over the impeachment of President Trump, left threatening voicemail messages at the offices of Congressman Adam Schiff and Senator Charles Schumer. In each case, he threatened to either kill or take part in killing the two officials.
The calls were traced back to Lippa by Capitol Police in Washington.
