A Greece man was killed on Route 104 Saturday while he was trying to help his daughter with her disabled car.
The accident happened near Hudson Avenue as the car was being loaded onto a flatbed truck.
State Police say 59-year-old Charles Valone was working out the arrangements at the side of the road when both he and the tow truck driver were hit by an approaching pickup truck. The tow truck driver suffered minor injuries, but Valone was killed.
The pickup driver was taken to the hospital and checked for impairment. Troopers say the driver was cooperating with them and they haven’t yet determined if charges will be filed.
