State police have charged a Greece man who works for the Greece Central School District and the Boy Scouts of America with having sexual contact with a minor.

Troopers arrested 51-year-old Sean Glenny and charged him with a third-degree criminal sexual act. Glenny allegedly met the victim in 2015 when he was involved with the North Greece Fire Department’s explorer program. The victim was 15 at the time.

State police said there is no evidence of wrongdoing while Glenny was employed by the district.

The GCSD said in a statement that Glenny was a Child Care Associate at Odyssey, and he is on leave pending the outcome of his case.

The North Greece Fire Department told 13 WHAM Glenny was with them for 24 years, but was suspended in 2015 and fired in 2016 for violating departmental policies and Boy Scout guidelines for the explorer program.

Glenny was issued an appearance ticket for Greece Town Court.
